About the experiment

Give Me Some Money began with a childhood thought: what would happen if people around the world each chose to contribute a small amount? This site turns that idea into a time-limited public experiment.

How it works

A contribution appears in public totals and on the world map only after its payment is confirmed. The leaderboard and map use public display information rather than payment credentials or provider references.

Privacy and public display

Supporters may appear anonymously. Optional nicknames and messages are handled separately from payment confirmation, and messages require moderation before they become public.

Regional payment choices

Available payment methods depend on the selected region. PayPal handles hosted international checkout, while the mainland China flow uses the payment choices shown on the Donate page.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a charity or an investment?

No. This is a public internet experiment, not a registered charity, tax-deductible donation program, or investment product.

When does a contribution appear publicly?

Only after the server confirms the payment. A browser return, popup event, or user claim does not confirm a payment.

What information is public?

Public pages may show aggregate amounts, approximate locations, an anonymous or chosen display name, and an approved message. Payment references, provider order IDs, edit capabilities, and administrative data are not public.

Are messages published immediately?

No. Optional messages remain pending until they are explicitly approved through moderation.
